About

Spokane Reimagined is both a vision for the future of Spokane and a dedicated group of people committed to achieving that vision.

We are a nonpartisan grassroots organization founded with one guiding principle:

We don’t have to accept business as usual.

In 2025, Spokane pedestrian fatalities hit an all-time high.

It is time for change.

Spokane Reimagined’s mission is to ensure Spokane residents and visitors have the freedom to travel safely, efficiently, and comfortably by adapting our streets and sidewalks to meet the needs of our vibrant and diverse community.

In addition to our audacious proposals to make Spokane more livable, we also advocate for quick action to address our traffic safety crisis in the here and now.

Our proposals have been the catalysts for new city initiatives including creation of a traffic fatality review team and the 27 by 2027 Urban Mobility Network.

We worked with the Spokane City Council on the Janet Mann ‘Safe Streets Now!’ resolution, which passed unanimously on June 24, 2024. The resolution asked Spokane’s mayor to use traffic calming funds on adaptive methods, hire qualified staff to manage the adaptive design program, and direct the police department to implement more automated traffic cameras.

But as we have seen with 2025’s record year of pedestrian fatalities, Spokane is still not moving fast enough.

So, Spokane Reimagined will continue pushing for positive change anywhere we can gain traction.

And by anywhere, we mean anywhere: City of Spokane, Spokane Valley, Spokane County, Spokane Transit Authority, Spokane Regional Transportation Council, Washington Department of Transportation, if it impacts transportation in the Inland Northwest, we are there demanding action.

That’s where you come in.

Our voice is only as powerful as the collective of real people behind it.
